A Brave Little Bird
This shot was taken at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC. The one feeling I get evey time I visit this memorial is "Haunting". Imagine the suprise to see this little guy watching me and the ohers as we trooped by in a somber reprose. I had to take this shot to show the contrasts of the graphic violence of war being viewed through the eyes of such a delicate creature. The hard metal rememberance serving as a resting place not only for the souls of those who paid so much, but also for a waywird bird in search of a calm place.

A wonderful shot, Todd. Excellent depth of field, marvellously subtle coloration and a subject that works both as an initially endearing image and as a sign of how time can change - as well as how nature's needs always remain the same. Inspiring!
